This Blue Whale print is a reproduction of my original watercolor painting. The painting is titled "Heart of the Ocean". The Blue whale is endangered, due in large part to the commercial fishing that once plagued its species. Now the whale is protected, but climate change and other human impacts, threaten its future.
I read up on the blue whale and was amazed to learn that their tongues are the size of an elephant and they have the largest offspring in the world.
This painting in particular was inspired by a movie poster and showcases the animal's massive size in comparison to the diver.
